What do you think about getting older? Do you fight it? "I don't want to get older?" Do you embrace it? "Today will be an awesome day!" When you think about the aging process, does it make you proud to have survived this long? It's time to celebrate aging, let's go dancing! Aging, Getting Older, A Time for Fun, a Time of Wisdom, well, at least I hope so.
Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age, and start bragging about it.
The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.
"I wouldn't want to brag at my age, but the earrings I wore in High School still fit today!"
When you are discouraged about your age, and wish to go back to your youth, think of Algebra.
"I don't know how to act my age." "I've never been this age before."
Old age is when former classmates are so gray and wrinkled and bald, they don't recognize you.
Plan ahead in your life. Don't arrive to your deathbed all well preserved. Instead, slide in sideways with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon in one hand and a bar of Godiva® Dark Chocolate in the other, all used up and screaming Woo Hoo!
Every day above ground is an opportunity to encourage someone else. Encourage someone you consider "your elder" - make them feel young again!
Don't be concerned with how old you are getting. After all, aging just shows the number of years the world has been enjoying you!
If you don't learn to laugh at trouble, then you won't have anything to laugh at when you are old
"My computer screen says I need to upgrade my brain to be compatible with the latest software."
Do something today that's outside of your normal routine. Maybe it's a bit wild. Maybe your friends will say you are crazy. Do it anyway. In fact, do something that makes you feel like a child again.
First you forget names, then you forget faces. Then you forget to pull up your zipper, then . . . "Oh my goodness! You forgot to pull your zipper down first!"
