A Time To Laugh was
inspired by all those great email stories that make their way
around the World Wide Web. Sometimes they make you smile,
sometimes they make your cry a little bit.
Some of them
actually make you laugh out loud, or sob relentlessly.
These are precious moments to cherish, for both may be the touch
of God Himself.

comes from Ecclesiastes 3: 1, 4:

everything there is a season, . . . a time to weep and a
time to laugh.
We have come to
appreciate many great blessings and conveniences in the 21st
Century. Many of us have enough food to eat, every
day. We have a roof over our heads, an automobile - or
two, or more, and a job that pays the bills. We even have
DVD players, microwaves, automatic coffee pots, PC's with cable
or DSL modems, . . . well, you get the idea.
Despite all our
"labor savings devices", we live in a era where human
stress of the mind is at an all time high, with no end in
sight. Alvin Toffler, author of Future Shock,
published in 1970, was visionary when he noted that not just
change, but "the rate of change" would be a great
challenge of our age.
